Professional Framing of Fabric Items
We speicalize in framing fabric art, our cross stitch and tapestry is handlaced and all needlart is framed in a manner which allows it to be removed from it’s frame without damage. We highly recommend all needleart be conservation framed, as many, many hours of work have gone into creating these heirlooms and they deserve to be framed to look their best and last for future generations to enjoy.
Over the years we have framed many vcounted cross stitch and tapestry projects and they always leave here looking great. Often these creations are custom created for a special person for a special reason, one customer has made cross stitch diplomas for each of her grandchildren, they have been works of art, and something I am sure they will treasure their entire lifetimes.
We are able to wash, press and overlock your needleart if you are not able to.
We have framed many sports jerseys over the years and make every effort to have them sitting just right, which can be a fiddle. The jersey;s must not be in contact with the glass and therefore we have to either use a box frame or a frame insert which we can cover in the backing matboard this is slightly more expensive but looks very smart. Once framed these can be rather large and given that they are often hung in gyms and bars it is important that they are securely fixed to the wall. We can provide brackets for this purpose. I have also seen broken glass on framed jerseys in public places please keep this in mind when placing them while ideally artwork should hang with the centre at eye level with large pieces like these in a public place above your avarage head height is a safer idea.
We often are asked to frame tea towels bought as souvenirs, these can be forward mounted on a matboard or laced onto a mountboard either way they can leave here looking a picture. If youhave something made of fabric you think you might like to get framed give us a call to see if we can help.
